BIO: Dr. Stephanie Seneff is a Senior Research Scientist at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. She has a BS degree from MIT in biology and MS, EE and PhD degrees from MIT in electrical engineering and computer science.  She has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings. Her recent interests have focused on the role of toxic chemicals and micronutrient deficiencies in health and disease, with a special emphasis on the pervasive herbicide, Roundup, and the mineral, sulfur.  She has authored over thirty peer-reviewed journal papers over the past few years on these topics, and has delivered numerous slide presentations around the world.

BIO: Nigel Plummer PhD received his doctorate in microbial physiology from the University of Surrey UK and is a globally accepted authority on probiotics.  Dr. Plummer, together with his research team have produced a vast body of research on probiotics in the prevention of antibiotic resistance, post antibiotic therapy, the control of IBS symptoms and in the prevention of allergies. Additionally, Dr. Plummer has developed an interest in the concept of fetal disease programming, the controlling factors involved and the potential to influence programmed events as a means of prevention of chronic disease development.

Valerie Pringle

Why I Am An Advocate for Mental Health (Give Your Head a Shake)

BIO: Valerie Pringle is one of Canada’s best known and most respected broadcasters, public figures and volunteers. She helped launch the CBC-TV news and current affairs program, MIDDAY. Valerie moved to CTV in 1993 and co-hosted Canada AM until 2001. Valerie then helped produce, write and host documentaries and series including “Valerie Pringle Has Left the Building” for CTV, “Test of Faith” for Vision-TV and “The Canadian Antiques Roadshow” for CBC-TV.She is now involved full-time in not for profit work. She is co-Chair of the Trans Canada Trail Foundation. She is a member of the Foundation Board of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Foundation, The Ontario Brain Institute, the Stephen Lewis Foundation and the International Festival of Authors.

BIO: Dr. Elvis Ali has been in practice for over 30 years specializing in Chinese medicine, sports medicine and nutrition. He received his first degree in 1979 in Biology. He was one of the first full time graduates in Canada to receive his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine in 1987. In 2006, Dr. Ali completed his studies on Body/Mind Medicine at Harvard Medical School where he was a member of the postgraduate association at Harvard.  He is a Registered Acupuncturist and has been a Staff member at CCNM (Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine) and CCHH (Canadian College of Holistic Health).

BIO: Dr. Drew Ramsey is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He completed his training in psychiatry at Columbia University/New York State Psychiatric Institute and received an M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine. He is a psychiatrist, author, farmer, teacher, advocate, and bartender in no particular order.
