About / Bio
I am a foodie, an avid traveler, and loves adventures. We as a family of 5 were given the opportunity to love all over the world, mainly Asia. This is a far cry from my childhood growing up on a farm in a small town in Alberta. This has been so much fun learning how societies eat, and how they use their traditional healing methods. Holistic nutrition kind of found me through my kids. Heres why:My son has suffered for years with eczema and asthma, since the age of 12 months. This even hospitalized him for a few nights. He seen countless specialists, he was given too many supplements up to 24 a day! Food and lifestyle is the only thing I found to have made a difference, today he is free of both and is thriving. My oldest had a severe reaction to a certain medicine while we were living in the middle east. It is called Steven's Johnson's syndrome and he was hospitalized for a month and spent lots of time in the ICU, there is no treatment for this so the only thing we could do was make food and lifestyle choices to help him recover with no long term side effects. He is fully recovered and thankfully has no side effects, but it took 12 months. This was a life-changing moment for us as a family and I hope that no one has to go through what he went through. This is a systemic autoimmune reaction and is very unpredictable. The hospital did their best and tried everything to provide food that he could eat. But ultimately this was up to us. I didn't know what to do, but I know with every bit of my soul that the right nutrition he would get stronger and I also knew with the wrong nutrition he would get worse. Holistic nutrition is my passion and I am excited to help people lead their best life possible!
