Dr. Shireen Kassam is a Consultant Haematologist at King's College Hospital and Visiting Professor of Plant-Based Nutrition at Winchester University in the UK. She is also founder and director of a non-profit organization called Plant-Based Health Professionals UK, dedicated to providing evidence-based education on healthy plant-based diets.

Dr. Isaac Eliaz, MD, MS, LAc

Isaac Eliaz, MD, MS, LAC, is a recognized expert in integrative medicine, with a focus on cancer and complex conditions. He is a respected clinician, researcher, and the best-selling author of ``The Survival Paradox`` ( Dr. Eliaz partners with leading institutes including Harvard, NIH, and Columbia, to co-author studies on advancements in integrative medicine. He is Medical Director of Amitabha Medical Clinic in Santa Rosa, California.

Dr. Chris Spooner, ND

Immuno-Nutritional Interventions That Regulate the Endocannabinoid System

Dr. Spooner received his B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Victoria and his Naturopathic Degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. In 2005 Dr. Spooner completed the first Post-Doctoral Fellow in Environmental Medicine at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine Environmental Medicine Center of Excellence with Dr. Walter Crinnion. He served as a board member and vice chair of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia for 12 years. Currently, he is the Chief Scientific Officer for Heritage Cannabis and a KOL with Atrium Innovations. His previous medical advisory board experience includes Qu Biologics, Integra Nutrition, MedReleaf, True Leaf Medicine International and Pharmacielo.

Dr. Enzo M. Diana, ND

Autoimmunity: Food, GUT, Environment and the Microbial Connection

Lorenzo M. Diana, ND, is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and York University. Since graduation, Dr. Diana has established his practice as a naturopathic doctor through a number of clinics in Markham and Simcoe. While he has developed an eclectic practice, he has cultivated particular expertise in women's issues, digestive disorders, cancer and preventive healthcare. A wide range of treatment modalities including homeopathy, acupuncture, nutritional and botanical medicine, and lifestyle counselling is employed for the benefit of his patients. Dr. Diana regularly contributes articles on natural health topics in various journals and magazines and has appeared as a guest on CFRB Toronto and community broadcasts elsewhere such as Rogers TV. Dr. Diana is currently working on his own line of nutritional supplements and is about to publish his first book.

Tracey Reed and Luka Symons are Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultants. Through their uplifting and informative workshops and consultations, they share their passion for supporting individuals through chronic health concerns using the power of food within a holistic approach.

Dr. Shreya Batra, ND

Paving the Way Through Natural Defence Aids

Dr. Shreya first became interested in the field of naturopathic medicine because she wanted to provide patients with long-lasting change by determining the root cause and preventing the progression of disease. She strives to use the body’s own defence systems to improve quality of life and prevent future illnesses through diet, nutrition, lifestyle, and supplementation (when necessary). She is passionate about evidence-informed integrative health to provide her patients with the best treatment possible. Dr. Shreya is the clinic owner of Inspired Wellness, an integrative clinic in downtown Toronto, and works alongside a talented group of health care practitioners to provide the best service to the greater Toronto community. During her clinical internship, she was selected to work in the highly competitive fertility shift where she received in-depth training in women’s health from experts in the field. Her other personal and clinical interests are in cardiovascular disease, diabetes, insulin resistance and immune health.

Lorene Sauro, R.H.N.

Functional Microbiomes for Better Immunity

Lorene Sauro has been a holistic nutrition professional for 22 years and a food professional for 30 years. She graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN) as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist™ in 1999. Lorene used her health knowledge to successfully resolved her issue with endometriosis. The key component for this victory was learning the gut health piece for her condition. Since then she has focused on reading the research about the gut and sharing it with her fellow practitioners. As co-founder of the Canadian Holistic Nutrition Conference and the Canadian Association of Holistic Nutrition Professionals (CAHN-Pro) she has taught hundreds of holistic nutrition students and graduates, helping them with their educational and professional needs. She is a teacher at CSNN, food developer, acclaimed speaker and published author. She founded the Functional Microbiome Program, the Functional Hormone Balance Program and the Inspired Learning Hub webinar series for practitioners. This is to help provide accurate information and the latest research about food and the wellness industry today to her fellow professionals. Lorene received the CSNNAA Lifetime Achievement award in 2017.

Dr. Kara Fitzgerald, ND

Immunity and Biological Aging

Kara Fitzgerald, ND, received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She completed the first Counsel on Naturopathic Medicine-accredited post-doctorate position in nutritional biochemistry and laboratory science at Metametrix Clinical Laboratory (now Genova Diagnostics) under the direction of Richard Lord, PhD. Her residency was completed at Progressive Medical Center, a large, integrative medical practice in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Fitzgerald is the lead author and editor of ``Case Studies in Integrative and Functional Medicine`` and is a contributing author to ``Laboratory Evaluations for Integrative and Functional Medicine and the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM)’s Textbook for Functional Medicine``. With the Helfgott Research Institute, Dr. Fitzgerald is actively engaged in clinical research on the DNA methylome using a diet and lifestyle intervention developed in her practice. The first publication from the study focuses on reversal of biological aging and was published April 12, 2021 in the journal ``Aging``. A consumer book and application-based program with DNA methylation assessment are scheduled for release in 2022. Dr. Fitzgerald is on the faculty at IFM, is an IFM Certified Practitioner and lectures globally on functional medicine. She runs a Functional Medicine Clinic Immersion program for professionals, and maintains a podcast series called ``New Frontiers in Functional Medicine`` and an active blog on her website, Her clinical practice is in Sandy Hook, Connecticut.

Andrea Donsky, R.H.N.

Andrea Donsky is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, media personality, entrepreneur, best-selling author, health and wellness lifestyle expert, menopause educator and podcast host. She is the co-founder of, a multiple-award-winning website, and (together with her business partner, Randy Boyer). Among her numerous publications, Andrea co-authored the best-selling book Unjunk Your Junk Food, published by Simon and Schuster. She also co-authored Label Lessons: Your Guide to a Healthy Shopping Cart, and Label Lessons: Unjunk Your Kid’s Lunch Box. Andrea co-hosts the Naturally Savvy weekly podcast, hosts the Morphus podcast, and appears as a Healthy Living Expert on TV across North America. Shonda Holt, C.H.N.C.

Shonda Holt has been a nurse for 31 years and feels younger and more energetic today than she did in her '30s. She began her own healing journey in 2010, using nutrition to lose weight, improve energy, decrease brain fog, balance blood sugars, and balance hormones. It was so life-changing that she decided to change the focus of her career. She graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2014 and the Institute of Nutritional Endocrinology in 2019 where she obtained her certificate in Nutritional Endocrinology.

Shonda is passionate about helping individuals to improve their health outcomes, and about improving healthcare in Canada. As a result, she has launched two new projects this year. First, Health for Nurses, which will support nurses in improving their own health with a positive trickle-down effect on the healthcare system. And second, as part of a not-for-profit, which is focused on sustainable healthcare via the empowerment of nurses.
